all day! all week! occupy wall street!

I unexpectedly got very involved in this movement after given two assignments for class! In my Motion Graphics class, we used kinetic type to visualize an inspiring speech to spread awareness.
I chose a quote by Charlie Chaplin from the film "The Great Dictator"

"In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost."

The second assignment was a week long project from Art Direction class. Each of us made a promotional design for the Occupy Wall St. movement. My concept was based on my previous motion graphics piece.

I kept the logo simple. It could stand for "quote marks" or 99
Here are my poster designs for guerilla marketing

and a pin to show your support to the 99%!
